“Nina spent 27 years working predominantly as a medical nurse both in hospital and community settings. She was fortunate to gain a wide ranging experience within areas such as coronary care and acute stroke units. After 16 years of hospital based nursing Nina then moved to a Practice Nurse position in the north of Glasgow where she enjoyed setting up and running clinics for medical patients under the new GP Contract scheme. Nina then gave up nursing to care full time for her daughter who has complex needs.  Not surprisingly she has an interest in working with staff in the NHS, social care and education sectors to improve services provision within her local area. She is a Partners in Policymaking Graduate of 2016.  Her past careers also include establishing a successful small manufacturing business in the silk tartan trade and being one of the first entrepreneurs in Scotland to trade direct to customers worldwide via the internet. She has a passion for reading history and lives with her three children and dog.”
