Supported People and Unpaid Carers

At In Control Scotland more than half of our staff team and trustee board bring lived experience of social care, either for themselves or as unpaid carers their loved ones. We are committed to making sure that the voices of people with lived experience are heard and amplified in all of our work.

We are currently developing some new resources for this page, but in the meantime are pleased to be able to offer some opportunities for people with lived experience to get involved.

Working Together for Change – a coproduction project that brings together people who want to make change in social care

Lunchtime sessions – monthly online sessions for people to find out more about self-directed support

Getting to Grips with SDS – our half day introductory training in self-directed support

Webinars and Seminars

Online sessions on topics we think people would like to know more about

Developing ways for people with lived experience to contribute to national improvement work

All of our support to you is free, if you would like to discuss any of these opportunities then get in touch: info@in-controlscotland.org.uk
