Start Somewhere is a growing collection of free resources for people interested in place-based change, community-led action and creating better outcomes alongside the people most affected by decisions. Whether you're working in a community, organisation or partnership, these resources are designed to help you get started, experiment, learn and build momentum.
All Start Somewhere resources are free to use, share and adapt to your local context.

Start Somewhere: Place-Based Change Sprint: A practical package for partnerships, teams and communities who want to move from intention to action.
Sometimes people already know plenty. There are plans, meetings, data, engagement and good work happening, but something is still stuck.
We have a small number of opportunities to work directly with places, partnerships and organisations using the Start Somewhere approach. For £4,950, we will work alongside you over around 6 to 8 weeks to help you understand what is happening, where movement is getting stuck and what you can actually do next.
This could be for a community or third sector organisation, a public service, or a mix of organisations trying to make something happen together. We will help you look across the system and ask:

What can be acted on now, and what needs to move elsewhere?
You will leave with a clearer picture of what is happening, a small number of practical actions to try, learning from what happens, clear next steps and a short Start Somewhere record of the work.
We will not redesign your whole system for £4,950, but we will help you work out where to start and get something moving.
