HAVE YOUR SAY

HELP SHAPE SERVICES, POLICY. AND CHANGE

People's experiences matter.

Whether you're a disabled person, unpaid carer, family member, practitioner, community member or ally, there are lots of ways to contribute your ideas, experiences and expertise.

We regularly work with individuals, groups and organisations to gather insights, test ideas, improve services and influence change. Sometimes we're looking for people to participate in specific projects or consultations. Sometimes we're creating opportunities for longer-term involvement.

Whatever your experience or level of confidence, we'd love to hear from you.

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

From time to time, we will share opportunities to:

  • Join co-production and improvement projects

  • Take part in consultations and surveys

  • Join focus groups and workshops

  • Contribute to research and evaluation

  • Test resources and new ideas

  • Share experiences and stories

  • Become part of our network of co-producers

JOIN OUR COMMUNITY OF CO-PRODUCERS

We're building a growing network of people with lived experience, unpaid carers and programme graduates who want to use their experiences to help shape better services, policies and communities.

As part of the network, you may hear about opportunities to contribute to projects led by In Control Scotland and our partners.

You decide how much or how little you want to be involved.

NOT READY YET?

That's OK. You don't need to be an expert, a public speaker or a policy professional to make a difference.

Sometimes sharing your experience, asking a question or joining a conversation is enough to help others learn and improve.

If you'd like to hear about future opportunities, sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media.

WHY GET INVOLVED?

Real change happens when people with different experiences and perspectives work together.

Your experience can help:

  • Improve support and services

  • Influence decisions

  • Challenge assumptions

  • Develop new ideas

  • Create better outcomes for others

Because the people who use services and support often know best what needs to change.
