OUR TRUSTEES

GUIDING AND SUPPORTING OUR WORK

In Control Scotland is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees who provide strategic leadership, oversight and accountability for the organisation.

Our trustees bring a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience from across health and social care, the third sector, community development, governance, finance and lived experience. Together, they help ensure we remain focused on our purpose: building a fairer and more inclusive health and social care system where people have greater choice, control and influence over the support they receive.

STRONG GOVERNANCE, SHARED COMMITMENT

The Board meets four times a year to oversee the organisation's strategy, performance and future direction.

Alongside the Board, our Finance and Risk Management Subcommittee provides additional scrutiny and assurance, helping us maintain strong financial stewardship and effective risk management.

Our trustees play an important role in supporting the charity to grow, innovate and deliver meaningful impact while remaining true to our values.

DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES

We believe better decisions are made when different experiences and perspectives come together. Our trustees contribute a wealth of professional expertise, personal insight and passion for social justice, helping guide our work and strengthen our impact across Scotland.

Their collective knowledge helps us challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions and ensure the voices of disabled people, unpaid carers and communities remain at the heart of everything we do.

MEET THE BOARD

Our trustees generously give their time, expertise and energy to support In Control Scotland's mission.
