WORKING TOGETHER FOR CHANGE

COLLABORATING TO TAKE ACTION

Working Together for Change is a programme that brings together people who draw on support, unpaid carers, families, communities and professionals to identify what matters most and create meaningful change.

Through co-production, the programme helps people turn individual experiences into shared priorities for action. By bringing different voices together, it supports stronger relationships, better understanding and practical solutions to the issues that affect people's lives.

Since 2019, In Control Scotland has supported Working Together for Change programmes across Scotland, helping people and organisations work collaboratively to improve support, services and communities.

CREATING CHANGE THAT MATTERS

Working Together for Change starts with people's experiences. Through facilitated conversations, participants identify common themes, celebrate what's working well and explore opportunities for improvement.

The process creates a shared understanding of local priorities and helps communities, organisations and decision-makers work together to make change happen.

LOCAL LEADERSHIP, LOCAL IMPACT

This year, we are delivering a local Working Together for Change programme in East Lothian, bringing people together to shape improvements in their own communities.

By creating space for honest conversation and collaborative problem-solving, the programme supports people to influence decisions, strengthen local connections and drive change where it matters most.

FUNDED BY THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT

Working Together for Change is funded by the Scottish Government as part of a commitment to ensuring disabled people, unpaid carers and local communities have a meaningful role in shaping the support, services and policies that affect their lives.

The programme creates opportunities for people to share their experiences, influence decisions and work alongside others to drive positive change in their communities.
